Land Acknowledgement

The National Academy of Neuronutrition recognizes that our primary office is located in what is now called St. Petersburg, Florida, on the traditional homelands of the Seminole, Miccosukee, and Tocobaga peoples, among others. These communities lived, worked, and cared for this land long before it was renamed, divided, or settled under U.S. governance. We acknowledge their continued presence and the ongoing relationship between Indigenous peoples and the land itself.

As a global organization with a distributed team, we also recognize that our work happens across many regions that were (and remain) shaped by systemic inequity and injustice. We encourage everyone in our community to learn about the history of the land they live on, and to consider how that history continues to influence the conditions in which people interact with each other, food, and the environment today.

This acknowledgement reflects our broader commitment to historical accuracy, respect for Indigenous knowledge, and awareness of the myriad ways the systems outside of our body influence what happens inside our body
